This paper describes the methods for purifying cytochrome c:

Pollock, W.B., Rosell, F.I., Twitchett, M.B., Dumont, M.E., and Mauk,
A.G. 1998. Bacterial expression of a mitochondrial cytochrome c.
Trimethylation of lys72 in yeast iso-1-cytochrome c and the alkaline
conformational transition. Biochemistry 37: 6124?6131

A good librarian should be able to help you obtain a copy of the paper.

Best of luck,

I suggest you e-mail someone who has already purified Cytochrome C in
a published article that you find interesting. Tell them briefly about
your project (just a few words) and ask them for a protocol and some
hints.

Good luck!

It seems to me that it's a maybe little improper and definitely
impolite to post a google question, but specify that you just want
someone to answer your question by leaving a comment.

If you want to post a question, but have no intention of paying should
your question be answered, there's a place for you, and it's called
usenet.

http://groups.google.com is the place to start. However, don't expect
that they will say anything different from what the experts here say,
which I will repeat.
It's such a big question, you need to consult the many good volumes
available at your college's library on the subject.
