Of course there are a number of different weights for any vehicle, including dry weight with no fluids, and curb weight, ready to drive away. Also, various options such as AC (about 250 lbs.) or an automatic transmission (about 200 lbs. more than a manual) will alter the actual weight. |

Problem is this car had a 460ci motor, AC, electric seats, windows, two seperate air pumps to help it pass emissions, was longer and wider (I'm really looking for those specs too) than a 1978 Ford Club Wagon Chatou Van (I measured), etc etc etc. It seems to me only some Cadilacs and some Lincolns were ever larger than this thing, and a Mustang weighs 3200 lbs. I just don't see 3700lbs without 200lbs of pixie dust to make the other 1000lbs weightless. |
