1. Are there any companies quoted in the USA which derive the majority
of their revenue from Market Research? i.e. not general marketing and
advertising companies but companies that derive the majority of their
revenues from market research
2. Where can I get a list of any recent (previous 12 months) mergers
and acquisitions involving market research companies?

The most well-known publicly-traded market research firms appear to be
Forrester Research (FORR) and Gartner (IT).
The other firms in this field are mostly private companies. The few
that are publicly traded appear to be considerably smaller than the
two above, such as Superior Marketing Research Corp (SMRH.PK).
I believe I can provide a pretty good list of about 5-10
publicly-traded companies that are primarily in the market research
business. I don't know of any way to access M&A activity in this
sector, other than to search on individual company names.

Hi, if you can provide me with a list of publicly traded companies in
the market research field of between 5-10, companies include and
provide a summary of M&A activity over the past 12 months for each
company (from news or whatever is fine - I just need to know the name
of the target, price if available, and what the target did) - that
would be great. If you could include one or two large non-quoted
companies too that would be great but that is optional.
