Ten years ago, my parents bought me a pedestal-style bathroom weigh
scale. You stood on the platform (like any usual scale) but were able
to see the digital readout around chest level.

Unfortunately, that weigh scale did not survive the move from
Massachusetts to Florida, so I need to purchase another one.

My parents are both gone now, and I don't know where they bought the
original. Nor can I remember any name on the product itself (I threw
it in the trash about 3 months ago).

I've searched google for bathroom weigh scales, but the only products
that come close are the kind that you find in a doctor's office (where
you slide a weight back and forth until the arm balances
horizontally).

I would like to find a product similar to the one that my parents
bought me. It had a platform about a foot square (like typical
bathroom scales), but it also had a "pole" on top of which was a
"dashboard" that housed the digital readout.

Can you help me find such a product?

Hi rambler,

Would any of these be of interest to you? Please clarify if I'm on
the right track. I wasn't able to find any that were chest high.

Hi tlspiegel,

The links that you provided are good, especially the 2nd and 3rd
links. (I had no idea these things were so expensive!)

Sorry for saying "chest level". I should have said "waist high".

You are definitely on the right track. If you can find any that are
cheaper (say, under $200), that would be great. Otherwise, go ahead
and post what you have as an answer.

Thank you for your help.

Hi rambler,

Thank you for an interesting question.

As Pinkfreud has suggested, the Health O Meter SPEEDOMETER DIAL scale
is a nice scale but it doesn't have a digital readout, so I didn't put
it in my links.

But it is a nice price at: Sale price: $124.99

Another nice Dial scale is the Detecto Scale Model 080 offers easy
reading with the contemporary mechanical dial - $228.99

I found the following digital scales:

Same scale Third scale on the page - Special price $302.00
