I have a compaq presario and would like to get rid of the hidden
recovery partion that they have on the pc. How can i do that?

what version of partition magic are you using?

the simplest way woudl be to boot to your win98 cd and go to MS DOS
then run a program called fdisk
this will delete the partitions as dos sees it but you may have to
sacrafice your normal windows partition aswell.

then just reintall back to your windows os and the partition will be gone 

note - if you use your compaq presario  recovery cd it my recreate the
hidden partition. for best results use a full version of windows
because this will ensure that there is no partitoins created unless
you specify.
