Dear bugz747-ga;
Thank you for allowing me to answer your interesting question. As you
may have noted we are prohibited from offering medical advice. The
best we can do is offer information relative to your situation in
terms of what has been published on the issue:
First, let me begin by saying that if you have been diagnose with
hepatitis c and cirrhosis of the liver, you don?t NEED any warning
signs to tell you that your liver is in bad shape. More than likely,
in comparison to a healthy liver, yours is probably in ?bad shape?.
Now, it?s possible of course that the swelling you were having is the
result of something totally different or maybe it was caused by
something minor and unrelated to your drug abuse. However, this new
swelling you are experiencing could very well indicate some
compounding problem with your liver, but, perhaps more importantly, it
may also indicate a serious problem with your kidneys or other organs
that you are not yet aware of.
Renal necrotizing angiitis (which is basically kidney failure), for
example, can lead to edema (the swelling in your legs and feet) and
it?s a known to be associated with both acute and chronic amphetamine
use as well as hepatitis.
Drug-induced rhabdomyolysis (poisoning of the kidneys) can also lead
to edema and can cause tenderness, like the kind you mentioned in your
breasts, as a direct result of amphetamine abuse (among other things).
Amphetamine abuse can also cause pulmonary edema. This results when
the toxins in the amphetamines damage the vessels of the lungs and
they become constricted. The blood then becomes unable to move freely
enough to carry away fluids so they collect in the lungs or in the
lowest portions of the extremities, resulting in badly swollen legs,
ankles and feet. If this goes ignored it can lead to heart failure and
death.
If I were you, considering your already compromised health, I?d waste
no time seeing a doctor. These conditions, if in fact they are what
you are experiencing, can be life threatening if left untreated. I
know you say you are determined to find help and that you didn?t ask
for a pep talk but from me, but Dude, live your life. You are the same
age as me and I can tell you from experience that the world is your
oyster if you just take advantage of it. As it stands right now, the
house odds are terribly stacked against you and you?re playing a
deadly game that you absolutely CANNOT win.
I hope you find that my research exceeds your expectations. If you
have any questions about my research please post a clarification
request prior to rating the answer. Otherwise I welcome your rating
and your final comments and I look forward to working with you again
in the near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.
