Got the old ones off easily.  Can't get the new ones on, though they're
the catalog-specified set for this application.  Can't even get the
old one *back* on (driver's side).  Nothing seems to be broken, it
just doesn't fit right.  Is there a trick or mystery here?  I'm ready
to consult the garage mechanic, but my husband doesn't want to give up
yet.  Expert car guys, got a hint?  Come on, save his pride.  Besides,
it's raining.
