There is a good one I have used myself provided by Vanguard. To
access it, go to "Retirement Planning" Vanguard Group
http://flagship4.vanguard.com/VGApp/hnw/content/PlanEdu/General/PEdGPPlnToolsRetirementPlnContent.jsp
and then click on "Can I afford to retire?"

The program will open in a new window (make sure any pop-up blocking
software you are using is turned off).

The program begins by asking you to provide your current annual living
expenses and the number of years until you will retire. You then
input your estimated Social Security benefits (a table can be accessed
via a link to assist you in determining your estimated Social Security
benefits if you do not know them. The Social Security Administration
sends an estimate of your Social Security benefits each year that
would be the most reliable). You also input your annual pension
benefits and a factor for inflation.

This is then followed by inputting your current savings for retirement
and your estimated rate of return on your savings. You can also input
any additional contribution amounts you will be making to retirement
accounts before retirement. You also the option of calculating your
and your spouse's life expectancies.

With the above data, the program will provide you with the percentage
of your retirement savings you will spend annually, the number of
years your savings will last, and your estimated retirement period
based on your life expectancy.

I hope this free program meets with your satisfaction.

Sincerely,

Wonko
