We use IEAK .ins files for setting up users computers to connect to our Internet Service. We have everything working great except for one issue. When a customer uses our .ins file the dialup connection icon does not show up in the system tray. This makes it easy for the customer to disconnect when they would like. To correct this we must manually go to the properties of their connection and select "Show icon in notification are when connected" or something similiar. We would like to know what entry needs to be included in the .ins file to allow for this. I can provide an example of our .ins files if needed. It must work on 98 SE up to 2003. This must work on all operating systems from Window 98 SE except Windows NT. All systems will be running IE 5 or later. |

If I understand what your doing you need to use the "CMAK" program. in the .cms file: "HideTrayIcon" 0 (default) = Display the icon. 1 = Do not display the icon. |

We are not using CMAK, just creating .ins files using notepad. We are only using .ins files and no others. Is there a "HideTrayIcon" setting for an .ins file? Thanks, Todd |
