According to the International Data Base (IDB) maintained by the US Census Bureau, the breakout of the current world population looks like this: WORLD/2005 Total, all ages 6,445,820,979 0- 14 1,790,194,781 15- 64 4,184,095,153 65+ 471,531,045 As you can see, there are 1.79 billion "kids" in the world, age 14 or under. You can access the IDB yourself and have a look around at the Census Bureau site: http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/idbnew.html Click on "Online Demographic Aggregation" to see data about the world, or about specific regions or countries. Have fun....! pafalafa-ga search strategy -- Used bookmarked sites for the IDB |
