Why do you need to reconstitute the vial for longer than 8 hours? Also, the stability of the reconstituted solution at 15 degrees Celsius is still 8 hours (recommended max) in the vial. Lowering the temperature will still have no effect on the relative short lifespan. |

Ryan - The stability period in all the package inserts by drug manufacturers is highly understated. A number of drugs can last for several days after reconstitution, however, manufacturers still recommend only a few hours. Perhaps they want to play extremely safe. If reconstituted drug could be used for a longer period (for my treatment) then I could save a lot of money by using the same reconstituted drug for my 2nd dose. |
