There are NO herbal or chinese medications that have cured this
situation. Furthermore, although stem cell research shows promise in
a variety of areas, that research is still in its infancy.

Scalp acupuncture is generally good for symptomatic treatment. People
who suffer a variety of chronic illnesses and a number of chronic
illnesses CAN obtain a measure of relief with acupuncture.
Acupuncture can make the sufferer feel better (even much better) for a
period of time. Unfortunately, however, acupuncture cannot CURE the
condition your loved one suffers. I cannot comment upon the
possibility that acupuncture might make here feel better or improve
her symptoms at any point.

If you wish to pursue acupuncture as a possible treatment, I'd suggest
you try Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto. They have a department of
Neurology that should be able to assist you as well.

From the limited content of your question, it is impossible to offer a
realistic diagnosis of what this may be. In fact, diagnosis via an
anonymous thread on the internet is impossible. But I will say that I
am puzzled by the fact that your physicians have offered you no
specific diagnosis. You might do well to print out this comment and
take it to your physician

The most COMMON cause of symptoms and medical findings such as your
daughters come from a disease known as Multiple Sclerosis or M.S. You
should take this opportunity to directly ask your physicians if M.S.
is the cause.

This web page seems to have the most understandable and reasonable
information on the condition that your daughter may have.
http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/multiple_sclerosis/detail_multiple_sclerosis.htm

If M.S. has been ruled out as the cause, of if you have more
information, please post here and I'll review the information you
give.

You might want to review these links:

http://www.nmss.org/
http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/
http://www.mssociety.org.uk/
http://www.msfacts.org/
http://www.msaa.com/

This link give an excellent summary of M.S. and what happens to those
affected by the disease. The article itself, however, is written for
physicians, and the vocabulary is quite challenging even for the
college educated.
http://www.emedicine.com/neuro/topic228.htm

The above article, however, gives the following list of other possible
causes. Each cause is also a link to more information.
Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis
HIV-1 Associated CNS Complications (Overview)
HIV-1 Encephalopathy and AIDS Dementia Complex
Inherited Metabolic Disorders (remote)
Lyme Disease (doubtlessly screed for)
Paraneoplastic Encephalomyelitis
Primary CNS Lymphoma
Primary Lateral Sclerosis

The links that follow contain some highly technical information about
M.S. and probably should be reviewed with you by a trained health
professional. The sources seem authoritative

I've done a bit more research, but everything I have generally backs
up what I already posted. If I hear from you again, I'll post again.
