I am in the process of lending someone $25,000 in Denver, Colorado. We
have agreed that the money will be collaterolized by a second on the
home. I want to know how best to protect myself.

I know I need to develop a loan document, but I do not know how to record the lien.

Thanks

This needs to be done by a escrow company. Just look in the Phone
book. I would not do this with out an escrow company.
