I recently tried downloading and applying some "spyware removal"
tools. I think I messed up as now I cannot access www.vonage.com which
is my VOIP provider.

I get a message:
You were denied access because:
Access denied by access control list.

How can I correct this?

Thank you. Blessings.

Hi pendleton!

I'm assuming that you're using Internet Explorer. Click on Tools,
Internet Options, Connections, and then on Settings/LAN Settings. Is
the checkbox called "Use a proxy server..." ticked? If so, unchecking
it may cure your problem.

Let us know if this resolves it for you.

"Always detect internet settings" is what is ticked.

Good try. Not fixed yet.

I can now access Vonage.com

It appears that what happened was I tried some
spy ware removal and that site got blocked.
I removed all that spy ware stuff and turned off
my pc and now I can access Vonage.

Thank you again to those who offered comments
and suggestions.
Blessings.
John

XP has its own firewall that may be blocking the port you are trying to use.

Also, Norton's firewall can do the same.

Try looking at those.

I did a search on Google (vonage "access control list")...this site may help
