This quote is often attributed to Darwin, but I've found no evidence
that he actually wrote it. Famous people are often the focus of
misattributions. For example, there must be hundreds of fake Mark
Twain and Dorothy Parker quotes out there.

It is attributed to Darwin everywhere, specifically to the book "The
Origin Of Species" 1859, --however I was unable to [quickly] locate
the page number.

This is searchable, it's not there:

The Writings of Charles Darwin on the Web
http://pages.britishlibrary.net/charles.darwin/
..."The most complete collection of Darwin's work ever published- with
original page numbers, illustrations etc..."

Here's the entire text:

And a web site with lots of Darwin-obilia

I think it is from Heraclitus, the Greek Philosopher. Don't know from
what text though.

Certainly doesn?t sound like Darwin?s native words. Have you read The
Origin of Species? I lost the will to survive by page 3.
