Hi,

Natural language processing (NLP) is a subfield of Artificial
Intelligence which concerns the processing of human languages by a
machine--from language understanding to language translation. Within
NLP, the task of mapping natural language inputs into elements in a
formalism (e.g. a logical query) suitable for manipulation by a
machine is called natural language understanding (NLU). An area where
NLU plays a crucial role is, say, building natural language interfaces
(NLI) to databases (so that one can query a DB using like English
instead of SQL).

I am trying to find out what the current "hot topics" are in NLU.
More precisely, I mean what are the current (most) pressing research
issues of interest to the NLU community? I know, for instance, that
building NLI with high precision (like close to 100% precision) is
still an interesting topic ...

Thank you for your help.

Regards,
SojPetRef
