I have been researching available data for wholesale sources worldwide
in all products that are commonly marketable. The sad result is that
every list I have found and purchased is unbelievably out of date
and/or grossly inaccurate. Who do I go to for a current reliable list?
In addition, identifying those companies that provide reliable and
reasonable dropshipping services would be great.

clipperace-ga,

Drop shipping can be a dream...or a nightmare. There're a lot of
sharks in that particular ocean.

I find the best and most trustworthy resource is the about.com site on
drop shipping. This is a human-edited site, hosted by a small
business expert, who does a great job of separating the wheat from the
chaff.

Check it out at:

and let me know if it seems like the sort of resource you are looking for.

Here is a listing of some wholesalers/distributors/dropship companies
that you may like to check out:

www.atihealthnet.com
www.salvageliquidation.com
www.rawjeans.com

NOTE: Most if not ALL real wholesale companies (and if these wholesale
companies provide the service of dropshipping, they are then called
dropshippers..but dropshippers are still wholesalers deep down if they
are legit and true wholesale companies) WILL REQUIRE YOU TO BE A REAL
business, and provide a TAX ID#, a reseller's permit, or a business
license (its all the same thing, but the name will vary depending on
what state it is)..

So do yourself a big favor and go get that now..cause you will need it anyway!

Otherwise you will be stuck buying from (NON-LEGIT companies calling
themselves wholesalers, but in reality these are just middlemen...who
buy from the REAL wholesale companies, and then sell to unsuspecting
folk like yourself, in hopes of making a BIG profit off of it!)

Don't let that happen to you! Get your business license which only
costs from 50-150$ depending on what state you are in...and then a
resellers permit..which is free to apply for...Its the smartest most
profitable way to go, for sure!

Also, check out ebay's WHOLESALE LOTS SECTION for bulk wholesale
products in pretty much any category...and RESELL it...in smaller
quantities...I did that for a package of 500 womens razors I bought
bulk for 30$ and resold for over 200$ when it was all split up! GREAT
IDEA!!!

WHOLESALE LOTS PAGE FOR ALL PRODUCTS ON
EBAY:http://pages.ebay.com/catindex/catwholesale.html?ssPageName=MOPS5:HWH01

Just click on any of the categories to the left...and they are all for
wholesale lots...you can get chummy w/ sellers as they are usually
selling the same types of items for LONG periods of time, if not being
their only types of items...they may have great deals they will let
you have "FIRST DIBS" on if you show to be a regular, pay on time
customer.

Another great ebay tip is to search out any MISPELLED WORDS ON EBAY!!
What a great way to locate products that hardly anyone/if anyone at
all is bidding on:

Go to these links and type in any word...and it will come up w/
various misspellings that are listed on ebay for that word...and BID
BID BID...and then resell it at a much higher profit:

HERE ARE SOME GREAT MISSPELLINGS SITES:
http://www.bargainchecker.com
www.auctionfigure.com
http://www.bestwebauctions.net
www.auction-typos.com

AND MY FAVE:
FatFingers.co.uk

GREAT RESOURCES FOR YOU TO FIND YOUR OWN WHOLESALER/DROPSHIPPER IN ANY
CATEGORY BOTH US AND INTERNATIONAL!!! Takes some time and hunting, but
these sources have some super companies to buy any types of products
from....

They are wholesaler directories and are FREE!!
http://alibaba.com/
http://asianproducts.com/
www.wholesalecentral.com
www.wholesale411.com

OTHER SOURCES TO FIND WHOLESALE ITEMS
http://fleamarketnews.com/

DON'T Forget you can also contact your local STORAGE UNITS to see when
they will hold their AUCTIONS to get rid of any non-paying customers
goodies!

This can be a super way to get a HUGE lot of items, to turn around and
either A) RESELL all at local flea market
B) HOLD a garage sale
C) Put in local classified ads (NEWSPAPER)
D) Put in local classified ads (CRAIGSLIST.ORG)
E) Sell on ebay (chose to sell smaller items on ebay, to get most bang
for your buck w/ shipping costs!!...SAVE larger items like furniture,
etc. for local flea markets, or garage sales, or classified ads!

SOME STORAGE AUCTION TIPS:
1) bring a HEAVY DUTY flashlight so you can peep in and see what items
they have WAY IN THE BACK!!! In most cases they WILL NOT let you go
wandering about and looking through the items! NOPE they don't..so
bring a HEAVY duty light to see from the entrance!

2) Look how the boxes are done up...are they expensive boxes that look
new and paid for, or older boxes that were leftovers from a friends'
move..this may be an indicator of how RICH they are or how much money
they put into storing of items.

3) Get there early...

4) Bring cash, and proof of TAX ID # or resellers permit to avoid sales taxes..

5) have fun w/ it!! Don't take it too serious

6) GO TO A FEW if not many auctions to get a feel, before you actually
bid on any...

ANOTHER way to locate YOUR OWN wholesalers online:

just go www.google.com and type in whatever item you want to locate
wholesalers for and the word "Liquidator" or Wholesale, wholesaler,
Reseller, for trade only, trade only, ...

And this other way: in google just type in "DEALER APPLICATION" to get
a list of any company w/ those words on their site and of course those
are the same ones that will...GEE..Require you to fill out a you
guessed it "Dealer Application" to be accepted to sell..

So that will weed out any "middle men" type of companies for you, and
give you the PURE and true wholesale source (which is what you want to
get closest to the main source of the product and buy for cheapest
amount).

FINDING LOCAL WHOLESALERS IN YOUR PHONEBOOK!!!
Just pick up your phone book, and go to the type of items you are
intersted in in the yellow pages, and you will find lots of Wholesale
companies usually for those products...just call them and go down
there and see what you have to do to get started selling w/ them.,

LOCAL wholesalers are so great, cause it saves you the shipping that
online companies charge to send their wholesaler products to you! Then
of course you must send them to your customer...

SO TAKE OUT THAT first shipping cost by getting all your items LOCALLY!!!!

PLUS it will cut out TONS of competition for that exact same product too.

The less people online that find the same wholesaler you are using,
the less online competition you will have for that product. Doesn't
that make perfect sence...cut out the competition if you can..get it
local, and then keep it a secret who your sources are.

I really hoped that has helped some of you!!! Happy Ebay and ONLINE
Selling!!! Good luck to all!
