I have a Canon S110 digital camera. When I download video from it, my computer doesn't recognize it as a file type. I can convert it to AVI, but my WSFTP program won't post it to my web site. Is there an easy way to convert the original files and post them to the Internet? | |

One weird thing about Canon digital cameras is that although the movies are stored in AVI format, the video is actually encoded with MotionJPEG codec. I have yet to find a *free* MS media player codec that plays MotionJPEG encoded avi videos. Strangely enough MotionJPEG is a Quicktime standard codec. You should be able to play the file with a quicktime player. |
