Hello,

I am the owner of Superior Titanium. We exclusively carry titanium
products such as titanium rings, titanium money clips that hold credit
cards, titanium guitar picks, titanium bracelets, etc.

We have been putting a lot of effort into creating an easy to use
e-Commerce site and are looking for feedback on how easy it is to
purchase items from it. The result I am looking for is a run-down on
the ease of finding information, the ease of adding items to the
shopping cart as well as any feedback indicating how our web site can
be modified to provide potential customers with as much convenience as
possible.

Our website is www.superiortitanium.com

Thanks,
Dan

Thank you for your valuable feedback on the site design from a
technical standpoint. I will have the text removed from the bottom of
the site.

My posted question was intended to provide feedback on ease of use
from a potential buyers perspective (the feedback on how to draw more
visitors through better search engine placement would make a good
follow-up question).

As far as the price for this question is concerned, I calculated 10-15
minutes for a review of the approx. 10 simple pages for an hourly
equivalent of $20-30/hr, which seemed reasonable.

I would also be interested in a "technical" review of the web site
design (from a search engine perspective) as opposed to the "customers
perspective". What would be a suggested list price for this question?
I would not be asking for the world, but just a list of some key
things that could/should be changed.

Thanks for your assistance.

Best regards,
Dan

Thanks lrulrick-ga,

I am new to google answers and am very happy with the result.

I'm interested in any other suggestions regarding improved navigation.
I do think that the side scrolling would be very helpful and will
take a good look at this concept. With titanium and its distinct
advantages (hypoallergenic, will not corrode, strength, etc) I feel
that the technical information should be very accessible to the
viewer. This presents a little bit of a challenge, because I want to
show all products, but also provide the benefits of titanium for each
one.

Do you feel that I should have a payment option right on the titanium
innovations page or keep the payment option in the more detailed
description?

Also, how do I approve that a question is answered and make a payment?

Thanks again,
Dan

Thank you for all your help! I have a lot to consider. I too think
Google should incorporate some sort of payment system for those who
are not registered with Google answers. Certainly the quality of
information is there...

Thanks again,
Dan

Just taking a quick look at the site, I see several major search
engine "no-no's" You have "hidden" text at the bottom (far far
bottom) of the site, and as mentioned in most search engine tutorials,
sites that try to "trick" spiders or indexers are more likely to be
just passed over. That being said, the site design...

Is not top quality, but it could work for a small company just getting
started. once you have more capital to throw at the site, I would
suggest hiring a php/java programer to give your site some much needed
interactivity. Also, the first page of any serious major website
should have it's primary content within the first "crease" of the
page, so the user at your site sees their options first, instead of
having to scroll down a wee bit to see all the options.

I agree with most of what tgiokdi-ga said, and if you want a serious
look at your webpage design from the researcher, you might consider
placing a bid which reflects your desired level of expertise.

Taking into account that most people viewing your site should be there
on account of them looking for your products, and from the stand point
of a designer- i'll leave the SEO out for now- I would add better
navigation to the site for starters. People tend to send 15 seconds
deciding to browse a site or hit their back button, and clear
navigation is something they expect. You chould be able to navigate
throughout the site without hitting the back button or having to click
to the main page. Every page of the site is center aligned and you are
losing important space to this layout. In general people are lazy and
like to do as little scrolling as possible. I would recommend a side
navigation colume and better use of space to add the buy now, and
detailed information beside the product images. Also keep the
technology information aprt from the purchasing information- you want
them to make a purchase- not study up on how the product is made. Not
that that information shouldn't be included, but personally I would
include it on its own pages under a more generalized catagory.

Take it for what it's worth but those were my thoughts on it, along
with some of sharing tgiokdi's.

Dan perhaps this may work for you, in regards to the tech info. Add
side navigation to the whole site. If you use a animated method, you
can list all products, then when the user hovers over the product they
get the choice of product description page or product tech info page
to choose from. Then on the product pages- add a link relatively close
the the product information _ maybe a graphic button, with "tech
details" or something on it, and then link the button to a page that
gives the tech jargon, specifications, etc for that individual
product,, and then add a back to product button, and by all means
include a "buy now" button right there on the tech page. A bit more
work, but would give an ease to the site without over loading the
veiwer all on one page.

As for the payment options, I would keep one an the product page close
to the image- and as before add one to the tech page.

You may also want to add a site map, organizing and listing all pages
on the site, and adding link to the site map at the bottom of every
page. Not only does this help veiwers navigate, but search engines
seem to like the concept.

As to the payment of google answers, I believe only webadapt is a
actual google researcher, therefore would be the only one able to
actually answer the question. The rest of us are just commenters- who
for some crazy reason google still has not hired, and therefore can
not post any comments as answers, which in turn means you cannot
except any of our comments as answers.
