I am looking for a formal research study on the impact of a student
being able to plea his/her case before an academic review board and
the varying level of discipline or sanctions imposed on the student
for an an act of academic dishonesty in a private university

I check all 3220 additions. Search style brought up academic research
articles but nothing on point for subject. Many variations. A more
refined initial search query is what I think is needed. Thank you
