How do I automatically toggle my laptop internet proxy settings
between home and office?

Clarification of Question by greg905-ga on 06 Feb 2005 07:27 PST
On the "Internet Properties" dialogue, "Local Area Network (LAN)
Settings" panel, there is a checkbox, "Use a proxy server for your LAN
(These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections)".

I want to create a script that will ping the proxy server and if it is
reachable, set this checkbox to on, if it is not reachable, set the
checkbox to off.

At home I use a cable modem which assigns me "192." IP address, as
does the network in the office.
