The Toronto Police Service is asking for assistance in identifying the location
of a sex assault crime scene(s). They have posted some pictures on
their website in a PDF file.

Any of the 8 images may be helpful to someone in identifying the location.
I stress *any* of the 8.

However, one of the pictures, #4 of 8 images, is the interior of an
elevator. It looks to me like a freight or parking elevator, but
don't let me limit the possibilities.

Would anyone recognize the Logo on the elevator operating license? Knowing
the municipality might help zero in on this particular serial sexual predator.

It takes a while to download using my Acrobat reader v5.

I don't know if they have a better image. I don't know what digital
imaging enhancement technology they have access to. I presume that if
they had a better one they would have selected it for posting on their
website.
Sorry....

I don?t have an answer to your original question, but the fountain
sure resembles this one in downtown Toronto:

It?s a long shot of course, but I believe the fountain shown above is
located in a small park called ST. JAMES PARK at the corner of East
King and Jarvis, in Toronto.

I'm *very* impressed by your sleuthing Tutuzdad. Do you think the
water spray dispersion pattern in the specimen is consistent with the
ST. JAMES PARK fountain geometry?

The news says that a tip lead police to a southern US hotel where the
predator and victim visited.

Just FYI - the victim was located. According to this report the
location of the crime was reportedly a resort hotel near Disney.

Tutuzdad, Thanks for staying on the case. Tenaciously.
With cross-border police teamwork and the girl now safe I guess it is
as satisfying a conclusion as we could hope for.
