I am working on my (MS comp sci) thesis, a data mining application
related to airline travel. I am trying to aquire data to use for my
study. Specificaly, I am looking for airline passanger lists, and any
related data I can get my hands on. The type information available at
www.bts.gov is not useful, because I need the raw data.

In light of the substantial privacy/security issues involved, I
believe I can derive useful results from older data, perhaps from a
defunct airline. But I would certainly welcome more recent data.

I am in the process of contacting many persons/agencies/corporations
that I think might be able to provide data or assistance. So far, I
have received some assistance, but no data.

I have located Libraries that house the archives of some defunct
airlines, specificaly the PAN-AM archives at the university of Miami,
the TWA archives at the Merchantile Library in St. Louis, and the
Braniff Archives at the University of Texas in Dallas. I have
contacted or am in the process of contacting persons at American
Airlines, the TSA, The AOPA, the Senate committee on Commerce,
Science, and Transportation, the BTS(DOT), (to name the major ones)

My question is twofold:

1) Can anyone help me locate specific sources that actually have
passenger lists of commercial airlines? (Functioning airlines, defunct
airlines, Libraries, Government agencies, travel support services ie:
SABRE, travelocity, etc.
   a) I am looking for contact names with addresses and/or e-mail
addresses
   b) I am looking for a high level of confidence that they have
passenger lists: the Pan Am Archives does not have this data. The TWA
archives likely does not either, but a research assistant is looking
into it for me.

2) For which I am willing to pay more: Can anyone actually aquire this
data for me?

Hi, if you are still interested, I think I can provide some details.
But may be its too late for you. Whatever the case, plenty of lists
are produced by the Airlines Reservations and Departure Control
Systems. How much data and what data do you really want? It would help
me if you could explain *how* you plan to use this data. may be then I
can zoom in on particular pax lists. Let me know.
