What are the percentages of women elected to the lower house of
national legislatures for any and every year before 1997? I have the
historical IPU data for 1997 to the present, but I need to know the
percentage of women elected to national legislatures for every nation
before 1997. I am especically interested in the percentages for 1980,
1990 and 1992. Thank you.

How far back would you like us to go? "Every year before 1997" seems
to be a bit vague...

The problem, IMHO, is also with the definiion "every country",
especially given democratisation and decolonisation processes (depends
how far back one goes) and the fact that not all countries have the
same kind of political system. Maybe it would be also beneficial to
define what is meant by "every nation".

I would like percentages from some year in the 1930s, 1940s, and
1950s. Does not have to be every year, but representative year for
each decade.

I need the percentage women elected to national legislature for each
country that exists for the election year data. the list of countries
will vary by date, of course. Nevertheless, I need the percentages for
each nation.
