To actually be able to answer this correctly I would need to know what you diet is. Becuse there are so many different diets out there. But what I can say is that there are 3,500 calories in a pound of fat. At the link provided you can input your data on how much you do this and recieve the answer that you are looking for. Might I suggest the Mens Health web site as it is a great resource for dieting and fitness training. http://www.caloriecontrol.org/exercalc.html http://www.menshealth.com/ |

Almost all diets work if you stick with them and do regular exercise. On Mens Health they do have a calorie counter which will tell you for you height and weight how many calories you can consume daily to lose 1 lb a week. One of the more doctor recomended diets would have to be the zone diet. For my height and weight I can consume 1860 a day and lose 1 lb a week. Now if I increase my exercise I could easily lose a couple of pounds a week. Now that might not seem like much but 8 lb's a month is a great start, in 4 months that would be a whole 36 lbs. You can also try some meal replacment shakes for two of your meals a day and then a sensiable dinner. The only thing is carbs give you energy and as you have a physical job I would not reccomend a diet such as the south beach or atkins as they are extremly low carb diets. http://www.menshealth.com/cda/category/0,2824,s1-4-57-0-0,00.html Some examples of meal relacment shakes. Although if you were wanting to go this route then I would find one that shows the how many calories they have. http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/health-nutrition/labrada-lean-body-protein-shake-recipe.htm |
