does anyone know where I can get a list of names of Compliance
Officers or equivalent for FTSE-100 or FTSE-250 companies? I am
interested in particular in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
requirements

That is going to trim things down a bit
- Sarbane-Oxley only applies to LSE listed companies with a NYSE listing
