Consider a 3,000-gpm chilled water system. I am able to eliminate 20
ft of pressure drop on the system by opening some balancing valves and
removing some isolation valves. Calculatethe pumping power savings and
chiller power savings. (pump efficiency = 80%, motor eff = 90%,
chiller eff = o.9 kW / ton.)
