I live in NJ & have an adrenal disease that needs a specialist who can
help me beyond what the endocrinologists in the Philadelphia area can
provide. I have been on daily steroids as treatment. The steroids have
made life so difficult with dangerous side-effects that I have been
spending hours a day trying to find a an endocrinoligst that can help
me. My severe leg injuries secondary to the steroid effect on my skin
and tissues have me in fear of losing part of my legs. I found two
doctors in Canada, but they will not see me as a consult because of
malpractice issues of seeing someone outside Canada. The UK,
Australia, Belgium, India, Australia and South Africa have
specialists, but not the US. My husband and I would go to the UK if
that were the only option, it is that important to my health. I would
appreciate if someone could possibly find me any new information on
specialists. Again, my disease is Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia-Late
Onset, that I have been treated with daily steroids for over 15 years.
