I'm an international students who's currently enrolled as a full-time
student in a accredited U.S. university (a pretty good one actually).
I am in the process of making my summer plans and am really interested
in a research position. I've already looked online but most research
opportunities offered by colleges are open only to U.S. citizens or
Permanent Residents. So far, I have only found Havard and Princeton
who open their REU (Research Opportunities for Undergraduates)
programs to international students. But since they have to come up
with their own funds (as opposed to NSF sponsored REU programs for
U.S. residents), they have very limited spaces and the selection is
very rigorous.
As you've probably guessed by now, I need you guys to find me some
research opportunities for the summer. Here're some critiria:

1.) Research has to be related to EE or ECE;
2.) Both paid and unpaid research is fine;
3.) Location is not a problem - I'm willing to travel;
4.) The ideal duration is from June to August;
5.) Whether the research position is offered by an academic
institution or corporate, it'll be good if it is a more reputable one;

That's all I can think of right now. I'll add more if anything else
crosses my mind. Please let me know if there's any ambiguity - I don't
want anyone to waste time getting the wrong info.
Thanks!

I will also consider research opportunities in China and the U.K.,
even though it is very much preferred that I can work somewhere in the
U.S.
