Here's a starting point: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=436888 Global implications? Does your teacher (or whomever) understand that the law has virtually no extraterritorial application? |

Thank you. I had previously noted that article. I am asking for a outline on a paper that could clearly demonstrate the positive impacts that the DMCA had through uses of its complete Titles. This one link shows some of those titles, yet doesn't go into example of each, only the case of how Peer-to-Peer applications are affected by it. As far as global implications, I am asking for statistics on if and how piracy has decreased and caused less of a damage to losses experienced by copyright holders by the enforcement of the DMCA. According to my understanding, the DMCA can allow copyright holders to press charges against infrigers in other countries, or even the US can place sanctions on countries that don't legally pursue infrigers of citizens of their lands. Examples like these are what I am requesting with relevant resources, along with an outline of a minimum four page paper that holds the best way, as per the researcher, to present an argument for the DMCA as it applies to what it covers in its entirety. Thank you. |
