The most likely cause is that something has gone wrong with the special file responsible for the "encoding". The name of the file is: wmadmoe.dll The first thing we need to do is re-register this file with Windows XP. To do this go to the "Start Menu" and select "Run". Now type in the following: regsvr32 wmadmoe.dll If this does not work then the file itself may be corrupt. To fix this go to the "Start Menu" again and select "Run". Now type in the following: sfc /scannow This will now scan your XP machine to see if there are any corrupt system files. If there are any then XP will prompt you for the XP CD so it can get a new copy... This may help you resolve the c00d11cd error. NB - This will get you up and running again, however due to some underlying problems with your installation you may actually need to re-install Windows Media Player. |
