"Well, we got it from the Bible, the word 'destiny,'" she said.
"Beyonce's mom was reading the Bible one day and at the time we were
looking for a name. And she was looking in the book of Isaiah, and
right up under the word 'destiny' was a picture of us. We are very
much Christians and we totally believe and have faith in God. And we
believe that He sent us that name. We used the name for a little
while, but we found out that other groups had it. And we tried to
switch it up, so we made it Destiny's Child."
