I have about thirty computer CD-RWs filled with facts. I burned the
facts on on the discs with my computer. I would like to know if
there is any way in which I can install a search engine of these
discs. By search engine I mean something like Google although vastly
smaller and confined to only the data on my discs. In the search
engine of my discs I would enter a word or a
phrase and get the number of hits on the word or phrase along with the
label and track of the disc and all other information possible.

Hello Didom,
I have found a few programs that allow searching in recorded CDs, and
can be included in the CDs. However, none are freeware. Also, the
companies offering them have a price-per-disc pricing scheme. Are you
amenable to purchasing such software?

Yes. I am willing to pay for the software if it does what I want

Greetings Didom,
I'll post the answer here showing examples of applications I found
that are for searching Data CDs, so I believe at least one of them
will meet your needs. Most can be distributed in the CDs you'll be
using.
Most I believe are shareware, so you are free to try any one, but to
have the full features, you must purchase the program.
Let me know also if you have encountered any of them previously.

Spy-CD: Full Text Search engine for HTML, PDF, DOC, XLS and PPT CDs:
http://www.phdcc.com/spy%2Dcd/
- This is the most promoted product in the Google search results I came up with.

AFSearch offline search engine, cd search engine, file search, full
text search engine
http://www.afsearch.com/
- This fits you requirement that it can be included on a CD-ROM. "NO
installation required for easy distribution on CDROM."

QueryMaster - search (and browse) application for CD-ROM
http://www.frameweld.com/products/querymaster.html
- Yet another product.

ASTAware: CD-ROM Search Engine
http://www.astaware.com/new_nr_cd_kf.html
- Came up often in websites about CD-ROM searches more often than others.

Search Engine Studio Software: Create Full-Text Web Site, Intranet or
Offline Search
http://www.xtreeme.com/search-engine-studio/
- This is a program for making a search engine mainly for a website,
but it can be used for CD-ROMS too.

Google Search terms used:
search engine within cd
cd-rom search engine

I hope this has been a helpful answer. If you need something
clarified, or have a problem with the answer, do please post a Request
for Clarification before rating and I'll come back to you as soon as I
can. Thank you.
