I am currently employeed at a boutique mergers and acquisitions shop
and the firm is not doing well.  We have gone 10 months without a
single client and it is time to look for a new job. I am looking for a
listing of companies or network of individuals that I could hire to
help put me in touch with other M&A firms or private equity firms.  It
would operate like a reverse headhunter, where I pay them a retainer
and then they help find employment opportunities at other firms.  I
have already done a ton of research so sites like vault.com and
wetfeet.com are not useful, because they only outline what the
industry is like. I need to find a firm that can expand my network and
open doors for me.  Ideally if you could find a listing and
description of firms that assist MBA level people with finding jobs in
M&A that would be ideal. A list of 5 to 10 firms would be perfect.
Remember I do not want it to be a headhunter firm becasue they work
for the employer and I need someone I can pay to open doors and find
opportunities.
