Hello Bandangel, Your answer can be found at http://www.blountsville-alabama.com/pages/history . Rumor has it that some men from Oneonta slipped into the Blountsville courthouse, at cover of night, stole the records and established the 'new' courthouse in Oneonta. To this day it is a source of contention among many of the people of Blountsville. Hope that this helps, Barbara |
