What are the best room rates for the Las Vegas Hilton (located next to
the Convention Center) for check in March 24, 5 nights check out March
29 for 2 adults non smoking king bed?

I am currently booked at $59 / $ 109 / $99 / $59 / $99 (average rate
$87) and have heard of them offering better rates but I can't find
them.

As a secondary question, if you can find better rates for another 4*
hotel on or within 1 block of the strip, I would consider that an
answer as well.

As a slight correction, our current average nightly rate is $85
without tax, not $87.

I was about to pass this question by until the price hit me as the
best price I've ever seen on a question here. I'm most impressed.

I'm not sure if you made a mistake about the star rating, as the
Hilton is a 3 star hotel. I found some 3 stars for much cheaper.

These are all within 5 miles of the strip.

The Golden Nugget is the only 4 star I found for cheaper, and it is
$79 average per night.

I'm not sure if the links will die after a certain amount of time. If
they do then you can go to www.orbitz.com and click on hotels. Then
click on the "search near address" button. After doing the initial
search this way it allows you to specify the star rating and distance
from the address that you would like.

Ah yes, I just tried a link and it failed... it leads to the main
Orbitz page, so you'll have to do the search yourself.
I hope you have a truly remarkable vacation!

Jack - thanks for the comment. I've tried Orbitz previously and
haven't been able to do any better. I know that ratings vary from
site to site, but on the vast majority of sites, the Hilton is a 4*
hotel.

Here is a website that posts the ( http://off2vegas.com ) Las Vegas
hotel specials from the LA Times Sunday calendar. I would suggest that
you check the page regularly as these hotel deals seem to change quite
often.
