I am looking for a full quote and citation for (approximately)this sentence "a
man who walked down the street calling things by their proper name [or
telling the truth?] would be struck down before he reached the first
corner." Possibly Lord Dusany, or some other British artistocrat.
Can anyone provide it?

I could not find your quote online. It sounds familiar, and somehow I
associate it with G.K. Chesterton. I hope another Researcher will be
able to help.
