Can a Hawai`i circuit court judge change a filed motion when granting
it? Words were left off which had major impact on the relief granted,
depriving the individual involved of a "life estate" in real property.
There is a suspicion of prejudice as well as collusion between the
plaintiff's attorney, the defendant and the presiding judge. It is,
as the British might call it, "a sticky wicket."

Depends on the circumstances but probably yes. It sounds like you
need to talk to a lawyer you trust.
