Hi Googling people,

We are hoping to regain contact with a seemingly estranged friend.

Last seen here asking an etherial question which was promptly expired
on January 28, within 24 hours of the asking.

Since that expiration, his many friends have theorised as to his
whereabouts. A common theory suggests that he is posing under a
pseudonym. We are hoping that is the case, as we are concerned for his
welfare. One of us posted a "question" in order to invite our illusive
friend to head up a debate on the history of duelling, for the purpose
of learning in a fun way. Albeit our awareness of this question/answer
site not being a chat site, our exchange of thoughts can tend toward
such without initial intent.

We ponder. Has our friend become tired of acquaintance or was he
somehow offended? His wit and arid (very dry) humour is sorely missed.

Your expertise is sought in locating a valued person.

The Collective.

I think you'll find he's got the builders in. Always a stressful time.

Phil, try the following link.

BTW does the style of professorman-ga seem to have a familiar feel to it?

Perhaps in his dotage he has taken to disagreeing with himself,
instead of disagreeing with us. I really think I have done something
to offend him, I just wish he would tell me what it was. Maybe he has
taken some of my knockabout rejoinders amis - I really hope not.

Norman.

Thank you everyone.

At first I thought the cleverness of duality was quite amusing. Having
fallen for the trap of actually having concern for an unknown leaves
me feeling like the idiot. Actually, "peterpantobe-ga" also rings a
Tinkerbell among other pseudonyms. "Maybe" .. "Maybe not ....." re:

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=464133

.... and others.

Please remind me people that our comments in discussion are simply
typed words appearing on a computer, nothing more. And more is the
pity of that fact.

I have had three "run-ins" since I first chose to make comment on this
question/answer site. All three were my own fault. I have learnt from
that, hopefully broadened my view, become more tolerant of
disimilar-minded, and trust that I won't have a fourth "run-in", as no
one benefits.

Bryan .. I know you are "there" as it were. I had hoped to encourage
your humorous reply here and continue the learning in a fun way.

I obviously have no right to expect a response, and again, do remind
me of this medium for what it is. Nothing more, nothing less.

It was fun while it lasted. In the purported words of Ned Kelly ..

"Such is life"

Phil
