Please see email trail below. Bottom line - I have a powerpoint slide
in deck A and paste the entire slide into deck B. It looks great in
deck A, but ppt reformats in deck B and it changes all of the colors
and fonts, etc. - takes 20 minutes to fix the thing. I want to tell
powerpoint not to change the slide - to leave it the same! I want the
slide to be fully editable in deck B, just like it was in deck A (so
no pasting as a picture). I'm not creating the original slides, so
don't have control over the settings used to make them. Your help
would be greatly appreciated. Best, - John

Thanks Fred - I was hoping that there was a way to ensure that a slide
didn't change at all when copying into a new deck,
Best, - John

Good Morning John,

Yes, I have--and still do have from time to time--this problem. As
stated below in a previous email, this occurs when a graphic is
created using the 'original' template's color scheme, and then copied
and/or transfered to another document with a different color scheme
template set up. When available, I always try to use either the
company template (set up by Bill and myself) or the document where the
graphic will 'end up', so the colors all remain consistent with what
you want it to look like.
I usually just reapply the color scheme back to the graphic as best as
I can match the original colors when pasting into another 'foreign'
template.

Hope this helps, and if I can be of further assistance, please call me

Kind Regards,
Fred
