The attached messages may be to big. Try and converting them into jpeg
if they are not already and decreasing the size. You can use Microsoft
paint and just save as jpeg.

Ok, I have been aware that it is too big, BUT I'm only talking about
sending and fwding fairly small(200-500k up to 1-2-3-4MG) to large
attaches and/or /jpegs...

So really, sending anything but a short text will trigger that 'timed out' alert-
which is driving me crazy!

Ok from that the only thigs I can think of is maybe your e-mail needs
to get dumped on your providers end or you have a bad connection. If
you are on a 56k however then you might try not running anything else
when sending mail to see if your connection is getting timed out do to
other software conecting to the line. Do do this just crtl+alt+delete
and shut down all of the processes that you do not need running. But
of course if you are on a 56k then it could also be do to a bad phone
line.
