In short, I want to use "old" HDD with all progs/Win2k_pro in laptop
with the same configuration/model as privious "dead" laptop that
hosted "old" HDD.

My previous(old) laptop IBM ThinkPad T22 /HDD 20GB w/Win2K_pro
SP3/or4(on NTFS)/256MB RAM/etc is broken. Bought the same model, read
NEW,laptop with the same specs, and would like to use old HDD
w/Win2k_pro and all progs on it in NEW laptop. New machine is in
working condition (added more memory to it - total of 512Mb). Inserted
old HDD - it boots to the GRUB prompt with Linux RedHat and Win2k_pro
choises. Starts Win2k, boots through the "Starting up..." Windows 2000
logo and then BSoD which says problem with IRQ settings (checked CMOS
settings, all the same as in previous version of laptop's CMOS -
standard settings - at least it looks like, not sure though)... Note:
when I spilled water in my old laptop, Windows shut down improperly,
obviously, and HDD should be checked/fixed for lost clasters - my
other comp(PC box with Linux)could be networked with laptop under
Linux(never have done it before, newbie to Linux). Will provide with
detail BSoD message if needed. Cann't boot into Safe Mode;
installation directory with W2k_pro on NEW HDD only; NO CD with orig
W2k_pro installation; YES CD with orig W2k_server installation; YES
boot into Linux on old HDD; have floppies with "sysinternals" ntfs4dos
pro software and should be able to access NTFS partition from DOS, not
sure what to do then; have ERD floppies for Win2k_server with SP2(for
2nd PC box - is down with similar Win2k problem, not a laptop), NO
ERD for Win2k_pro ... Looks like I provided you with enough details,
TIA.
