Question ID: 472856
i have a shopping website with thousands of products that I get from
my suppliers. I receive this information in irregular formats ,,, let
me jump to the question. I am looking far data aggregators, or
someone who sells data, i.e. all the DVD information and the pictures
and the codes ... I am in need of good data in stead of me cutting and
pasting it from all over the show and "abusing" Google in order to get
the information to my site.

my website is called : www.jump.co.za

I sell computers and DVD's but as you can see on my website, I do not
have all the information and employing someone to capture all the info
all the time is a mission. what I do need is someone who sells the
data and the images of the products.

is there not a website who I can get an XML feed or a direct link to a
database ... i hope someone can help me.

A content managment system could aggregate but it could only do simple
get and display of data with its out of the box capabilities. To do
what you want you'd need some coding done to scrape data from the
supplier sites or consume a web service. If you don't have coding
skills, you can look at using a language like ColdFusion (arguably the
most powerful and easy to use web language) or PHP (popular but a
little harder to learn) and then use a product like FarCry CMS or
PHP-Nuke. You can learn a bit about ColdFusion at www.cfnewbie.com and
PHP at www.php.net.
