On TV I once saw Beck being interviewed by a computer(which was
offscreen). The computer sounded like the voice on 'Fitter, Happier'
from Radiohead's 'OK Computer'. I saw the interview for about ten
minutes; it was in black-and-white and focused only on Beck.

I remember it only because one of Beck's answers was so cheeky, it
made the computer hesitate before asking the next question.

I'm pretty sure the interview was done to promote 'Midnight Vultures'.

Where can I find this interview?

Dear Markabe,

First of all, you are partly right. This interview was done as a
promotional interview, but not in order to promote "Midnight Vultures"
but rather Mutations (1998).

Ryan K's trade list - http://www.angelfire.com/weird/ryanktradelist/ -
has this rare bootleg 5 minute interview. He can copy it into PAL
system videos only (the "European" system) and not to NTSC (the
"American" system). The common practice in these trading sites, like
in real-life exchange, is that you send him something that you have in
return.

I found no other site where you can get this interview. However, it is
always worth trying and posting in Beck forums and newsgroups, where
there might be other people who recorded that interview and would be
happy to copy it for you. I recommend Usenet (Google Answers)
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&group=alt.music.beck
(Alt.Music.Beck) as the most popular group.

I think this answered your question. However, I'll be pleased to
clarify if you have any questions.

Markabe,

I forgot two other things. First, an interesting fact - Mutations was
(partly)produced by Nigel Godrich. Guess what other album he produced?
You got that right - OK Computer.

The other thing is my search strategy, that might help in further
searches:
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=beck+%22interviewed+by+a+computer%22&sa=N&tab=gw
://www.google.com/search?q=beck+interviewed+%22by+a+computer%22&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Is it possible to purchase the interview from a merchant?

Dear markabe,

Since its a sort of bootleg, guess there are no "legit" copies of it
and all of the copies that exist rely on fans recording from fans. So,
again, in order to purchase or to copy it, I suggest that the best way
would be to contact other Beck fans.

Good Luck,

However, I found this for you:
