I'm doing research on business in Europe, and need some help. I'd like
a list of business titles in various European countries and their
equivalant in America. I need these for the UK, Germany, France, Italy
and the Nordic coutries. For example, Manager in America is equal to
Director in the UK... Ideally this would be a fairly complete list,
and may include some information on other Western European countries
as well.

Not in the UK I live in.
Normally 'Director' means that one is on the board of LTD or PLC company
- one will have signed an agreement accepting appointment
- that will have been registered with Companies House
