I have a 48161 Schottky Battery Islolator by Cole-Hershee Co installed
on a battery system on my RV/camper and I'd like to know if there is
any other function to this isolator other than keeping the bank
separated from the charging truck battery. I'd appreciate links to
hypothetical schematics demonstrating how the device might be used.

Thanks

The company is ?Cole Hersee?, not ?Cole Hershee? and it is an
?isolator? not ?islolator?.

As far as I am aware, battery isolators are always dumb, ie they do
nothing but isolate whilst still allowing charging. Your one can
isolate two battery loads and does nothing else. The reason for
Schottky is that the voltage drop is less than conventional
rectifiers.

Dreadful web site I?m afraid and *demands* Internet Explorer. I
despair of IT so called experts.
