I was recently listening to the Howard Stern Show, and coming in from a commercial break they began playing a song that sounded like British synth. The song got talked over a little and then turned off right as the vocals were kicking in. I was recording the show to MP3, so I was able to splice out the exact 15 seconds that the song played. I've placed that file on a webserver here: http://www.student.seas.gwu.edu/~adamz123/nameThisSong.mp3. It's really only instrumentals, and one word of lyrics, but the tune is definitely unique. Please respond with an artist and title of the song. Much appreciated. --Adam | |

I'm glad the matter is now solved! When I listened to your MP3, that music sounded darned familiar to me. It is, as we now know, "Jerk It Out," as performed by the Swedish band Caesar's Palace, also known as The Caesars. The same song is featured in Apple's catchy "iPod shuffle" ad: Apple: iPod shuffle http://www.apple.com/ipodshuffle/ads/ Background on "Jerk It Out," and a music video: XFM: Caesars ?Jerk It Out? http://www.xfm.co.uk/Article.asp?id=4784 The song appears on The Caesars' CD "39 Minutes of Bliss": Artist Direct: 39 Minutes of Bliss http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/store/artist/album/0,,2551407,00.html Last year "Jerk It Out" got a lot of TV play in promos for the Westminster Dog Show on the USA Network. Wow, this song really gets around. Best regards, pinkfreud |
