A medicine or pharmacy bottle with the label "Rad.Galang".  What is the Medicine?

"Galang" can be a surname. Could this be the name of the patient to
whom the drug was prescribed, rather than the name of the drug?

Probably Galangel root. The label would be in Latin: 'Galangel radix'.
Galangel is a member of the ginger family of plants.
