Hi, Randy! I'm glad to see that your website is up & running at last! Here are a few things that I noticed when I visited http://www.murraysystem.com : On your homepage's horizontal menu bar, the link for "Affiliates" is misspelled as "Affilitates." Another typo that I noticed: on the "For Business Owners" page, "achieve" is misspelled as "acheive." There are numerous minor errors in punctuation and grammar throughout the site. Although these may not be noticed by most folks, there are a few nitpickers like me who will wince when we see 'em. Most of the items on the horizontal menu bar on the homepage can be accessed only by logging in, which requires registration and payment. For a first-time visitor, this may seem rather off-putting. Although you obviously need to have "members-only" material on the site, it might be better to offer more freebies on this homepage menu bar, since it's probably the first thing that a new visitor will examine. I wish you great success with the site. I hope that Google Answers will continue to be a resource that you can rely upon for assistance. You are one of our most frequent customers, and many Google Answers Researchers have come to view you as a friend. Very best regards, pinkfreud |

Hmm.. Not so sure about your definition of marketing - mine is cruder In the short term you have some sucking product - so move it In the long term find out what the punters want and give it to them And the origins: In the USA in the 1950's it became obvious that one person (the CEO) could not keep an eye on everything, so they invented the 'Marketing Department' that had cross divisional access and control :-} . I quite like the idea of not wasting time on dubious prospects, making them self qualifying is sensible. Once that was described as deliberately p*ssing off the punters you don't want, they'll be a waste of effort or trouble if you close them. I suggest that you get rid of the AX Control on your home page, and put 'Home' on the subsidiary pages menu - right above testimonials (not just at the bottom of the page). Also remove 'Home' from the home page or even better stick it in the menu and make it clear that that is where you are. Also sort out this: Randy at Trefalga Square in London on a trip to consult with Lyods of London It is Trafalgar (as in the sea off Cadiz) and Lloyds as in that rather disreputable British institution that piled risks onto suckers about 15 years ago. Nodding Dogs and Names. I'm not sure that I would be willing to spring $975 from my wallet on the basis of that website, although I suspect that by the time you have got someone to talk to you on the private line, that they will see the benefit of having a 'Vanity Published' booklet with their name on the jacket. Not a bad idea - educate both punter and salesman to the level that it is a no brainer. Is Patrick LeMieux for real ? - If I were called 'LeMieux' I would get a name transplant |

i don't think that..i don't know...that is why i'm asking....actually, instead of being pissed off at your comments, they are the same concerns i've had for several days....its obvious i was right to be concerned and i will take steps to correct what's wrong...there is no excuse for misspelled words..i paid someone to proof it and obviously did not do a good job....the definition of marketing is correct and its anyone's right to change it to anything they want...in fact, i used the same definition in three different classes at the university of georgia...management, finance, and money and banking and used the definition as the definition for all three and was never questioned...so anyone's interpretation can be considered appropriate....i do not understand the language you use though...help me out...what are punters...also, the first mention of the term marketing was alfred sloan many decades before the l950's and i'm sure you know who he is....its sort of like the word investment that was invented by a man named jay gould during the us grant administration...well, i've used up my twenty minute lunch break....good luck to you... |

Inline - but watch carefully > used as my reply (inversion) :- i don't think that..i don't know...that is why i'm asking....actually, instead of being pissed off at your comments, they are the same concerns i've had for several days....its obvious i was right to be concerned and i will take steps to correct what's wrong...there is no excuse for misspelled words..i paid someone to proof it and obviously did not do a good job.... >Something went wrong - use double blind checking the definition of marketing is correct and its anyone's right to change it to anything they want...in fact, i used the same definition in three different classes at the university of georgia...management, finance, and money and banking and used the definition as the definition for all three and was never questioned...so anyone's interpretation can be considered appropriate.... >I reserve the right to use my definition. >'Marketing' is a con word - the concept is sound, but the content has been hollowed out and replaced with PR and wasting advertising budgets i do not understand the language you use though...help me out...what are punters... >Ask a Brit. also, the first mention of the term marketing was alfred sloan many decades before the l950's and i'm sure you know who he is....its sort of like the word investment that was invented by a man named jay gould during the us grant administration...well, i've used up my twenty minute lunch break....good luck to you... >Made me dig a bit - Alf P Sloan was a GM Fuehrer >- at that time my Uncle ran the advertising for Lord Nuffield (Dorlands agency) > Morris would say: "I hope you know what you are doing young man" I reckon I've sussed what you are up to - using new technology to use the old methods Heh - get that monochrome picture of you on your front page changed - If you must look like Fester from the Adams Family - do it in colour (Seriously the black and white .. just looks wrong - it jars with the rest) If you are doing what I think you are doing, then, provisionally, Good Luck |

Fred... I'm very disappointed in your "comments" to Randy. You come off sounding rather rude... Randy... Frde is NOT a GA Researcher, so pay no heed. Steph53 |

I think 'direct' rather than 'rude' That was my intention. 'Punter' is UK slang for client or prospect. I expected someone else to chime in with that. I would be seriously surprized if you did not have a plan within a plan, actually I would be disappointed. If it is what I think it is, then it is probably benign - even beneficial to the punters. In which case good luck. |
