Most browsers these days have a 'Remember Usernames and Passwords'
feature. This is an internal store of usernames and passwords for
websites. To adjust these settings, follow these directions:
Internet Explorer:
Click on the Tools Menu, and choose Internet Options.
Click on the Content tab
In the 'Personal Information' section, click on the AutoComplete
button.
You'll see a window that says to use AutoComplete for Web addresses,
Forms, and Usernames and Passwords on forms. Uncheck the Usernames
and passwords box. Now, click the 'Clear Passwords' button under
that.
That will stop IE from remembering usernames and passwords, and clear
out the internal store of them.
Mozilla 1.0:
Click on the Edit menu, and choose Preferences.
Double Click on the Privacy and Security entry on the left side.
Click on the Passwords entry under Privacy and Security.
Uncheck "Remember Passwords".
Click "Manage Stored Passwords".
Click "Remove all" from the window that pops up.
Netscape 6.2:
Click on the Edit menu, and choose Preferences.
Double Click on the Privacy and Security entry on the left side.
Click on the Web Passwords entry under Privacy and Security.
Uncheck "Remember Passwords".
Click "View Stored Passwords". You may have to enter your master
password to view this.
Click "Remove all" from the window that pops up.
